The Wolves fielded two teams for the first time at last Saturday's BHUK Tier 3 qualifier at Skate Central in Sheffield. The Wolfpack, largely composed of our younger players, and the Wolverines with several member of the Timberwolves and Hyenas.
It was a tough day for the Wolverines and they took four losses from four games. However their spirits remained high throughout the day and Andy Bolstridge certainly won the award for best celebration when he scored the team's sole marker.
The Wolfpack had a strong day. They had four 1-0 victories in the round robin stage, backstopped by late replacement keeper Ali Cree. Winning their group they faced Sheffield Steelers B in the final and surprise, surprise took another 1-0 scoreline to claim the win. Captain Ben Clayton proudly collected the trophy to cap a successful day.
Thanks to the organisers and referees in what was a long and cold day at Skate Central.
