The Wolves are pleased to announce that two members of our club have been chosen to play for the GB Ladies team in Pardubice, at the world championships next summer.
Massive congratulations to both Hazel Taylor and Nikki Croxall. We couldn't be more proud.
Club chairperson, Rob Clayton, said 'This is a massive achievement for them both and the club. This is the first time we've had more than one player make the ladies team. Hazel was able to show at Zug 2015 that she was at the top of her game, and the only barrier to her making it back this time was her battle to regain her fitness after serious injury at that tournament. Nikki last played in 2013 and has overcome the disappointment of missing out in 2015. She made the decision to switch to D and this has been nothing short of a revelation.'
Luke Browne, our ladies team coach said 'massive congratulations to our Skipper Nikki Croxall and Hazel Taylor. A great achievement for them both and I know they'll both do great out there. We had so many girls from this club go and give it their all at the trials. I know there's a lot of disappointment amongst the other girls about not getting in but this isn't the end for them.'
Clayton added 'I think we had others who were close who I would expect to have a great chance of making it in 2019.'
A Massive well done ladies and good luck in Pardubice!
